PN4056 – SUMO BOT

WEEK 5

SUMMARY OF FEEDBACK

As our SUMO Bot is relatively simple to manufacture, there were no major issues with our design. Our estimated weight was ideal and the journey from our initial concepts to our finalized design was evident. Our material choices were well thought out with regards to manufacturing and weight. Our feedback was mostly to do with the presentation of our portfolio. There are a few changes that need to be made; The Bill of Materials should be earlier in the portfolio and the parts labelled should also match the working drawings. We need to add in our “further explorations” that we included in the blog, to show our thought process. We must have white backgrounds on our pictures to show the contrast and make them tidier looking. For our working drawings, we took snips of them and put them on a Power Point, we should not do this for the next submission – we will print them out separately. The layout of our working drawings need to be improved and we need to ensure they are closer to the BS8888 standards. After these changes are made, we will classify as “excellent” in the rubric which is what we are striving for.
